The most anticipated fashion event of the summer is arriving in Fernandina Beach—and admission is free!

SMA Tuition Information

When will my child's Step Up For Students (SUFS) scholarship amount be applied to my child's Facts account? Fam [ ... ]

When will my child's Step Up For Students (SUFS) scholarship amount be applied to my child's Facts account?

Families must submit each child's "Award ID" number as soon as they receive it from SUFS by emailing it to mguevara@smacad.org. Scholarship credits will NOT be applied in Facts until the school receives the "Award ID" for EACH student in the family. Once the "Award ID" is received, the 2025-2026 SUFS scholarship amount will be credited to the child's Facts account as a placeholder until the 2026-2027 scholarship amounts are received (usually in June).

What happens if SUFS does not pay the school the expected scholarship award amount?

Each family is responsible for ensuring their child's tuition and fees are paid. While we strive to work with families to the best of our abilities, beginning in the 3rd quarter, and moving forward thereafter, in the event SUFS scholarship dollars are not received for any quarter, the scholarship credit will be removed, and the parent will be responsible for paying the child's tuition and fees due to date. If the school receives scholarship payments for amounts already paid by the parent, refunds will be issued.

This is an important reminder regarding the Step Up For Students renewal and new family applications for the 2026-2027 school year.

Step Up for Students is already accepting and processing applications for renewal and new families for the 2026-27 school year.
1. After completing the application, check the Step Up for Students EMA dashboard page for your Award ID #.
2. Once you have your Award ID, please email it to Martin Guevara at the Business Office using mguevara@smacad.org to receive the estimated credit on your FACTS account.
3. Important: You may not receive an email from Step Up for Students, so check your dashboard page periodically for the Award ID.
