How many openings will you have in each grade level, and what are your admission priorities?
A. We open applications to grade levels based on current enrollment.
Our school campus is PreK-3 through eighth grade. While we cannot guarantee the exact number of openings until we have completed our current student re-enrollments in January, we warmly welcome new students at various grade levels every year. If you are considering
St. Michael Academy for your child, we encourage you to apply.
As openings become available, the following priorities are used to accept applicants to St. Michael Academy:
1. Registered and active St. Michael’s Catholic Church parishioners
2. Sibling of a current registered and active St. Michael Academy student
3. Registered and active members of other Catholic parishes
4. Child of a parent or sibling alumni
5. Non-Catholic students
Does participation in any part of the admissions process indicate an admissions decision?
A.No. Participation (or non-participation) in any phase of the admissions process should not be interpreted as an admissions decision; all final decisions are communicated in March.
My child’s current school requires re-enrollment before St. Michael Academy releases admissions decisions. What should we do?
A. Families are encouraged to make the best decision for their child based on the information available at the time. Since St. Michael Academy releases all final admissions decisions in March, we recommend that families maintain their current school enrollment until an official decision is received. This helps avoid the risk of losing a secured placement while the admissions process is still underway.
If my student currently attends another Diocese of St. Augustine school, can they transfer to St. Michael Academy?
A. No, all students who wish to enroll at St. Michael Academy must go through the entire admissions process and submit an application by the published due date.

OTHER APPLICATION & ENROLLMENT INFORMATION
ENROLLMENT/ RE-ENROLLMENT
Returning students must reserve their spot by paying the re-registration fee each year by the designated deadline.
All fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Families that do not re-register by the deadline are giving up their spot(s).
OFFICE RECORDS
Parents/Guardians must update any change of address, home telephone numbers, cell phone numbers, business phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and/or phone numbers of emergency contacts in their Family Portal account. This will guarantee that office records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
IMMUNIZATIONS
Florida Statute 232.0332, which became effective on August 1, 1982, requires that prior admittance to or attendance in a public or non-public school, grades kindergarten through 12, or a preschool, each child present must have on file with the school a certificate of immunization (DH 680) for the prevention of those communicable diseases for which immunizations are required by the Department of Health.
FL Department of Health regulations require DH 680 Form, Part C, to be signed by hand or by electronic signature in Florida SHOTS by a physician licensed under Chapter 458 MEDICAL PRACTICE or Chapter 459 OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE, Florida Statutes. This form must be certified and uploaded into the Florida Shots database.
OPEN ADMISSION POLICY
St. Michael Academy has an open admission policy. No person, on the grounds of race, color, gender, disability, or national origin, is excluded or otherwise subjected to discrimination in the receiving of services. Nor does the school discriminate in hiring, promotion, discharge, pay, fringe benefits, job training, classification, referral, and other aspects of employment on the basis of race, color, disability, age, gender, or national origin.
TITLE IX
St. Michael Academy adheres to the tenets of Title IX: “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participating in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.”
IDEA
A parentally-placed private school student with a disability does not have an individual right to receive some or all of the special education and related services that the student would receive if enrolled in a public school under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
